Health Profiling

At a local health food store a woman was crying in the supplement aisle. "I don't know what will help my son. There are too many things here to try." She told the clerk sobbing. "MD's found nothing and the medicine they gave him did nothing." For eight months her son went unhelped. She was referred to me. After two weeks and two office visits her son's debilitating headaches and painful digestive issues were gone. How was this possible? The answer is: Patterns.
Body shape, bone structure, skin, hair, nails, tongue and many other indicators, all help determine a person's genetic type or health profile. This knowledge helps observant doctors understand their patient's strengths and weaknesses. This is exactly what Functional Bio-Analysis (FBA), the technique I developed four years ago, does. The effectiveness of FBA has caught the attention of many doctors across the US and the world (Germany especially). Its success is due to its ability to pinpoint the patient's greatest nutritional needs, beginning first by examining their genetic pattern or Color Type.
Having treated thousands of people with chronic illnesses for nearly two decades, I have seen almost everything. And most problems are part of a pattern - an accumulation of stresses leading to an unbalancing of bodily systems in an expected, almost predictable manner. Yes, everyone is an individual, but individuals still have many of the same overlapping characteristics as others. Starting with the commonalities and then refining the treatment to a person's individual needs produces excellent treatment results.
One of the most overlooked and continuous stressors is food. Which food(s) often depends upon genetics and rate of consumption. Highest on the suspect list are a handful of commonly eaten foods including: milk products, wheat, soy, refined carbohydrates, sugar, and eggs. These are not always allergies, but fit more into the category of food sensitivities, which confuse the immune system and alter digestion when they are regularly eaten. It is not surprising then why most health-restoring and weight-reducing diet plans restrict these foods and instead make meats and vegetables a priority.
The bodily systems most affected by the accumulated stresses of food and lifestyle are the blood sugar system (glucose, insulin, glycogen) and the digestive system (small and large intestine), followed by the hormonal system (adrenal glands and thyroid), and the detoxification system (liver or gall bladder). Almost all of the common symptoms such as pain, fatigue, insomnia, migraines, IBS, GERD, PCOS, and PMS, come from these overworked tissues trying the best they can in the presence of an unrelenting stress.
The greater the dysfunction, the more specific the remedy needs to be. This is why multiple vitamins rarely work to help sick people. Sick people are out of balance and need just those nutrients that balance the body's scale, or Teeter Totter. Giving full spectrum nutrients is equivalent to adding the same amount of weight to both sides of a balance scale - it never moves. It becomes critical then to determine the most specific and effective nutrients the body requires. These nutrients will then produce a hormetic effect - beneficially supporting more than one system and tissue at a time.
Trusting the body's ability to heal itself when given the opportunity and simplifying the overall approach increases compliance and results. In my office, FBA has helped patients come off migraine meds, depression meds, IBS meds, and pain meds. It has resolved gout, stopped hot flashes, corrected vertigo, stabilized autoimmune disease, fixed extreme lower back pain and much more. And, all of these health improvements happened just last week (and just about every week before and after).
